James Wade woont en schrijft in Texas Hill Country met zijn vrouw en dochter. Hij is de auteur van Rivier, Zing Uit en All Things Left Wild , winnaar van de prestigieuze MPIBA Reading the West Award voor debuutfictie, en ontvanger van de Spur Award voor beste historische roman van de westerse schrijvers van Amerika.
